When I began this project, I was assigned a reasonable budget from the school. However after continuing to speak with students for ideas on what they wanted, I realised we needed a little more to make their learning environment a better place.
I started a page on Facebook asking friends and family to donate a couple dollars to help us install artificial turf in the classroom, as the students requested a more "green" and "natural" environment. Instantly people began donating very generous amounts. After a couple months we had raised enough money to do this. Unfortunately later we discovered that we were not able to install turf for insurance reasons. Nevertheless, my friends were happy for us to use the money to create this environment using other means.
I would like to acknowledge all the wonderful people who have donated to our classroom. These people are (in date order):
- Priscilla Abdallah
- Helen Abdallah
- Alan Blake
- Shell Eves
- Emnie Papaioannou
- Elisabeth Here
- George Saad
- Nicole Holmewood
- Shane Canelas
- Annie Duong
- Mark Nowicki
- Christin Anggrahini
- Josleen Fares
- Michleen Geagea
- Foutine Ardeleanu
- Anne- Maree Wells
- Elias Serhan

Also a special thank you to Mark, Josleen, Elias and Foutine who donated amounts of $100 and over. We love you!

Now I have an excuse to look up at the time and say, "oh my fur and whiskers, I'm late!" So many opportunities for white rabbit puns. Should we keep this black and white or colour him in? |
