So this kind of just happened! A few weeks ago we purchased some plain book contact from Big W for a $1 each. The plan was to cover the tables with them, to add colour to the room since we can't afford new furniture or paint the tables. Unfortunately that plan didn't work as the size of the roll of contact was too small to fit a table and it didn't look good. Anyway since then I have been trying to think of another way to use the contact.
After we finished painting the panels in the room, I looked up at the fans and decided to add stripes. I remembered the contact and got to work straightaway. It literally took under half an hour to complete both fans for an instantaneous dramatic effect!
What you need:
- 1 roll of plain black book contact from Big W or any other retailer
- scissors
- ruler (optional)
What to do:
1. Measure the width of the fan (for this fan it was about 13cm)
2. Measure strips of this width onto the contact (each strip used here was about 3cm wide)
3. Cut a strip, peel the contact and add to the fan
4. Repeat the process
